Florida Job Growth Up 23,000 in June

Florida added 22,620 private sector jobs during the month of June, according to the latest ADP Regional Employment Report which is produced by payroll firm ADP, in collaboration with Moody's Analytics.

Florida added 22,620 private sector jobs during the month of June, according to the latest ADP Regional Employment Report which is produced by payroll firm ADP, in collaboration with Moody's Analytics.

Of those jobs, 5,400 were in the trade, transportation and utilities category, which includes retail jobs; 3,890 were in the business and professional services sector; 2,260 were in construction. Manufacturing lost 270 jobs during the month, according to ADP.

Florida, Texas and California had growth above the national average.

Florida releases its June unemployment rate and job numbers for the state, as well as South Florida, on Friday, July 18th.
